1.75m Liberty London Tana Cotton Lawn Strawberry Thief Fabric Purple Red
1.75 metres of Liberty London tana lwan cotton fabric.
A small print with a pattern repeat of 8cm.
It was quite hard to photograph the colour correctly so I have added a photograph of one of my cushions in this fabric which seems to show the colour more clearly.
Strawberry Thief was designed by William Morris in 1883. It was part of a group of designs incorporating animals with flowers. Liberty Fabrics first produced it as a furnishing fabric in 1979 and it has since been redrawn for Tana Lawn on a smaller scale. Strawberry Thief has been on classic Tana since 1955. Tana Lawn cotton’s distinctive hand-feel and translucent softness make it a versatile favourite.
For the Classical story, the Liberty Fabrics team selected the prints that have become paradigms of particular styles of Liberty London print: small scale florals, paisley and hand drawn flowers.
